Hotel Description:

The Hotel Isla Victoria is located on the island of Isla Victoria in the middle of lake of Nahuel Huapi in the national park of the same name. Overlooking Bahia Anchorena, this lovely hotel is a three-story charm. One enters the hotel via a granite staircase to the reception and a small sitting area with fireplace. Beyond is a long and large living room with picture windows and multiple seating areas, a fireplace, and a well stocked bar. A large deck with chairs and tables is accessible from the living room. Beyond still is the dining room with scenic panoramas, a fireplace, and chairs dressed in soft leather slip covers. There is a good selection of wine, creative menus, and superb presentation with friendly service. There is also a large TV room with projection TV complete with satellite channels, CNN, and a selection of movies. On the lower level is a wine cave with wine tasting room, a music room with couch and chairs facing a large picture window with spectacular views, and two chairs with ottomans and specialized reading lights next to a yet-to-be-filled up bookcase. There is an indoor Jacuzzi and outdoor heated tub, a sauna, and a steam room. Massage and spa treatments can be arranged with advance notice. On the top floor of the hotel are 20 rooms and two suites, most with scenic lake and mountain vistas, and all with names in lieu of numbers. Each room has a chair (or two), a table, and two twins or one queen with fluffy comforters and pillows piled high. Lightweight blankets adorn the ottomans at the foot of the bed, perfect weight for an afternoon snooze. Bathrooms are marble, with plenty of fluffy towels, a complete selection of bathroom amenities including bath salts, and a Jacuzzi with plenty of hot water and equally plenty of water pressure.
